Research and Innovation in Healthcare Conference 2019

Wednesday, September 04, 2019 - Thursday, September 05, 2019   iCalendar Eastern Standard Time

Healthcare Innovation has historically focused on bringing advanced treatment tools and procedures to solve the clinical challenge presented by the individual patient. While those advances continue, large integrated health systems are increasingly focused on how they deliver care to the large populations for which they now care. The transition from fee-for-service to value-based care, as well as the rise of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) is bringing about a sea-change in organizations as they look to innovative solutions to efficiently and effectively treat large patient populations. Further, as these organizations develop these solutions, they are exploring the value they might create for other organizations and are actively exploring how to monetize those activities, whether developed internally or in conjunction with a corporate partner, in order to further drive the ROI to the hospital.

The purpose of this conference is to establish a forum for professionals that are engaged in managing research, innovation, and technology commercialization in this space.

The meeting will be held at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, MI on Wednesday, September 4, and Thursday, September 5, 2019. Registration is open.
