Concussion: Advancements in Clinical Assessment and Management

Description: Concussion symptoms can be subtle and difficult to manage. This program will help first responders and clinicians properly identify and clinically treat the complicated diagnosis of concussion. Specific case studies and treatment approaches will provide methods that help the concussed student athlete return to learn and return to play as quickly as possible.

Objectives

  1. Identify and define the subtle symptoms of concussion
  2. Accurately assess and diagnose concussion
  3. Understand and define the nuances of concussion treatment options
  4. Reduce the recovery time for concussion and post-concussion syndrome patients
