The practice of medicine entails many moral dilemmas.  The intersection of personal and professional values raises significant questions about the rights and obligations of physicians in both clinical encounters and society at large.  Many of these tensions have been brought into particularly sharp relief by the recent pandemic and social unrest.  To address the changing landscape of medicine in these challenging times, the MSMS 26th Annual Conference on Bioethics will focus on Contemporary Challenges in Clinical Bioethics.  Conference sessions will focus on contemporary moral dilemmas facing physicians todays, such as ethical obligations related to pain management, pediatric palliative and hospice care, marginalized patient and clinical communication, and the assessment of decisional capacity in non-verbal and non-communicative patients.

When registering be sure to select in-person or virutal attendance.
