Lessons from the History of the University of Michigan Medical School
Monday, April 27, 2026
7:00 – 8:00 pm EST

Join us for our History of Medicine presentation by Joel Howell, MD, PhD, Professor Emeritus, Internal Medicine and Medical History, University of Michigan Medical School.

The University of Michigan Medical School has been in existence for more than 175-years.  This talk will describe many ways in which the school led pathbreaking innovations that have helped to shape medical education. But it will also discuss episodes when the actions of University of Michigan students and faculty failed to live up to the values we now associate with being an excellent physician.

This presentation is free, but registration is required.  Click here to register and receive the zoom link.  The presentation will be recorded for viewing at a later date.
