Grand Rounds Live Webinar Series: The National Emergency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Wednesday, April 13, 2022
12:00 – 12:45 PM ET

On October 19, 2021, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACA), and the Children's Hospital Association (CHA) declared a national state of emergency in child and adolescent mental health. Even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, youth in our country were struggling with mental health. The pandemic exacerbated these issues on several fronts, often impacting minority youth disproportionately. Emergency room visits for mental health emergencies and suicide attempts have increased significantly. Join us to learn more about the current state of child and adolescent mental health, contributing factors, and resources for youth in distress.
