Grand Rounds Live Webinar Series:
How to Think Logically and Communicate Clearly in Medicine
Wednesday, November 12, 2025
12:00 - 12:45 PM EST
This session is designed to enhance the critical thinking and communication skills of medical professionals by teaching them to identify and avoid common logical fallacies. Logical fallacies are errors in reasoning that undermine the logic of an argument. They often appear convincing but are actually flawed and can lead to incorrect conclusions. In the medical field, logical fallacies can impact decision-making and communication. For instance, a healthcare provider might focus only on evidence that supports their initial diagnosis, potentially overlooking important contradictory information. By understanding and recognizing these fallacies, participants will improve their ability to evaluate evidence, make sounds decisions, and communicate their ideas effectively.
