Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) Director Anita Fox will provide an overview of the work carried out at the department and explain how the industries it regulates impact every Michigander. She will highlight DIFS’ role in delivering consumer protection and outreach, as well as how the department collaborates with practitioners, medical organizations, and physicians through its Patient’s Right to Independent Review Act, Utilization Review, surprise medical billing, and other programs.
